Transitional Story: From my earliest memories, I always knew I was created uniquely and wonderfully different. The hidden secret was... I am a Girl. I grew up with great inner turmoil between two worlds, on one side The Far-Right Evangelical Church led by religious zealots bent on narcissistic control of my life. On the other hand, a hidden life of discovering my True Identity knowing I was different than what society's black and white binary viewpoints had attempted to control my life to be, and I struggled greatly.
As a young adult, I struggled to come to grasp and overcome my inner turmoil of facing the reality that I was indeed Transgender and knew I didn't belong with the boys, I was so different than I was perceived to be that I was alienated and ostracized. Inwardly somehow, I knew my body didn't fit me and my brain operated differently than assumed, I knew I needed to transform my gender. Eventually publicly coming out at age 18 I went through the chutes and ladders of life from being alienated by my own family and outcast as a recluse, institutionalized, abandoned driven to Cleveland Ohio's homeless shelter by my own father, demon exorcised, attending Conversion Therapy in the deep south of the United States and even drugged up, molested and rapped.
My upbringing became almost an impossible nightmare where I grew up house-hopping from partner to partner just to try to find some security unfortunately never having done so and greatly unprepared for life. I was torn between The Religious Control of my Transphobic upbringing and independently setting a new course for my destiny away from the burden of bigotry and regret.
So, I purged and de-transitioned to promote Conversion Therapy for 5 years as a poster child for de-transitioners. Afterward having stumbled upon an undeniable fact that validates Transgender and Gender Variant Identity I re-transitioned at age 33 at the tail end of 2020.
Today I advocate because of the undeniable truth I have found and have established Trans Humanity to promote the equality of all genders. I believe we're on the verge of a mass New Renaissance in the transgender world and since Felicity Huffman, Jenner, Jaz, and Bono Transgender exposure has gone mainstream this has become a verge of success for so many. I would like to see what the future holds in store for us all.
Name: McKayla Wright

Position: Chief Director of Advocacy
Transitional Story: Throughout my life I have worked consistently to maintain objectivity in all things. Prior to transitioning I was a Detective who helped to design and train police officers in my state in both Domestic Violence investigation standards that are now legally established through the state as investigatory requirements and training officers in communication with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent subjects. I helped to build and train officers in Crisis Intervention standards to better address mental health crisis calls and to establish methodologies for helping mental health consumers gain assistance to avoid unnecessary incarceration.
I believe that all people deserve dignity and respect and that it is a moral obligation to provide people with dignity and respect as best I am able. I believe that we are incapable of fully understanding the experiences of others, but that we should do our best to support and empathize so that we may all gain a better perspective that each person can contribute.

Transitional Story: I transitioned due to the constant feeling of being out of place in my own body. I had felt different my entire life and like I was an imposter. Transitioning allowed me to live as my most authentic self. I feel it is important to advocate for my community as I really believe we have to be the change we wish to see!
If not me then who will stand? To make change happen we have to take a stand and not settle for anything less than we deserve. Through support and advocacy, I hope to bring more inclusive and safe spaces to transgender individuals in this world as well as long overdue rights. I wish for us all to have the ability to live without fear of harm or eradication.
WE ALL HAVE A journey in life...

Dr. Marie E Johnson is a Harvard graduate and researcher specializing in transgender mental health. She is the Psychiatrist and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. For almost 25 years, she has held administrative, educational, research, and clinical roles in psychiatry at both Harvard and Banner Health.
She has been pioneering the use of gender therapy treatments for gender dysphoria - conducting research in this area, treating patients, writing, and speaking around the world on this topic. Dr. Johnson clinical practice has focused on helping people suffering from gender dysphoria and mental illnesses, including gender dysphoria, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders. Her treatment approach has been comprehensive and has included psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and complementary and alternative treatments.
